Types of Fractals in Architecture

Page history last edited by deepikabatra22@... 10 years, 8 months ago

Fractals appear in architecture for reasons other than mimicking patterns in Nature.

To emphasize that fractal architecture arose naturally in different cultures, we divide our examples into three categories.

Ron Englash points out the architecture reflects both the social and religious structure of the settlement.

All the architectural examples that exhibit fractal characteristics do so as a consequence of some structural or organizational feature of the settlement.

Examples of fractal themes in European architecture range from modern work back to drawings of da Vinci.

Fractality may be utilitarian, or reflect social, religious, or political hierarchies.

Indian and Southeast Asian temples and monuments exhibit a fractal structure: a tower surrounded by smaller towers, surrounded by still smaller towers, and so on, for eight or more levels.

It is very much clear that fractal is available in almost every architecture. The Latest architecture inspired by Fractals is Fractal Gas Station. To know more about this Click on the link Below
